What a pretty board! I’d love to look at that all day (or very nearly so)!
RE: staying organized…that’s tough. I’m a bit of a fresh paper addict, so my notes are in a bunch of different notebooks. Just recently I got a smaller B5 paper binder at Kinokuniya and a little bit of lined and gridded papers to fill it. I figured this way it would fit in all of my purses—even the smallest one. Then I wouldn’t be on the huntdown for new notebooks all the time since I could just add paper to it as needed. Only problem is, it’s Japanese paper and rather expensive (for me) so I am uptight about running out and having to buy more…so have been using scratch paper instead. *chuckle*
I also don’t recommend cleaning. I have all my books in one stack and pattern notes another. The stacks are neat, they are just always sitting on my living room coffeetable because I don’t have anywhere else to put them. Every time I clean/”organize” it takes forever to find where I put it all. :P

I have a looseleaf notebook divided into sections–socks, lace, spinning, dyeing, techniques, patterns, and so on. It works for me, but then, I can usually read my own handwriting :)

I tend to scribble knitting etc. thoughts on odd bits of paper as I go about my day, so every project/design has an envelope for those that is marked with a number that corresponds to a Field Notes graph paper memo book (I get through a couple a month). They all live in a big box with each years worth held together by a rubber band. I’m sure I could be better organised but I love the serendipity of finding thing I’d forgotten when I’m looking for something else … it often sparks new ideas.
