i love Japanese craft books! I have two but fear I cannot figure out the markings - but seeing this makes me want to rethink buying more ;-)

Those really are breathtaking. And just think, once you've mastered that feather, well, there's a whole world of bird feathers waiting to be copied (I'm crocheting a scarf from Lang Mille Colori at the moment, and the colour reminds me of kingfisher and jay feathers)
