Blocking

Guess who's on the blocking board?

Yes

Ene

is finished.

In an hour or so I'll be darning in the ends and then I'll recruit Ben to take a picture of me and my new shawl.

oh, and lovely shawl ;-)

Another beautiful shawl!! Your work is stunning!

This pattern was just posted. I bought a copy! You could make mitts to match!

It's actually not a blocking board; I'm just using it that way. It's a cutting board I bought at JoAnn's and since I haven't been doing any sewing I thought it was okay to sacrifice it to a good cause.

It's beautiful! I just cast on Swallowtail last night. Ene is next, the Bee Fields, then...I've been bitten by the lace bug!

OMG, that's lovely. The yarn is so beautiful, it has such a nice sort of natural sheen.

so great! I can't wait to see it on you.

Yours is just beautiful! and chic too! I've been fascinated with lace shawls since fall issues came out to the knitting land. I think you have worked in a silk blend yarn for a shawl before. Is a yarn with silk (or 100% silk) hard to knit? I'm now considering silk yarn for a shawl.

Yay! How exciting! I'm making progress on my shawl, too. :)

that looks just spectacular! congrats.
