Fluttering my wings
We borrowed our neighbor's front yard for today's photoshoot. He's never there anyway and no plants or creatures where harmed in the process.
Abbiamo approfittato del giardino del nostro vicino di fronte per il servizio fotografico di oggi. Lui non c'è mai, e nessuna pianta o creatura è stata danneggiata nel corso dell'operazione.

Uh-oh… is that gray hair there?
Oh on! Cosa ci fanno quei capelli grigi lì?
A little blurry, but ready to take off.
Un po' sfuocata, ma pronta a decollare.
I really like the size of this shawl.
Mi piacciono proprio le dimensioni di questo scialle.
I have five balls of Kidsilk Haze in a gorgeous red shade that want to be made into another lace shawl, but I don't think I am ready for another mohair marathon so I'll probably have a sweater intermission for a change.

Such a beautifully made shawl! I often knit with big yarns in between fine yarns to keep me motivated. So I uderstand what you mean by putting off other red kidsilk haze for later!
Keep up with the good work!

It's fabulous, Francesca. Well done! You've really mastered lace.
Be still, my heart! Poetry in Stitches, Pg 66? St. Brigid? Not nice to tease ;-)

There's nothing like a big warm shawl to wrap yourself up in, is there? I think this is the first time I see this shawl made in Kid Silk Haze and I like it even more this way. And the colour is gorgeous!

Wow, it looks so amazing! That takes a lot of determination to knit such a big shawl with KSH. It is so beautiful and I love how your scalloped edges turned out!

Stunning, makes we want to knit up some of my KSH into a lace shawl. Yes it does. Can't wait to see your next one (and the intervening sweater).

You are good, was it just three weeks ago you were tinking a few rows?
Puts me to shame, I'm still slogging along with my little lace.
btw, I really enjoy your bilingual blog, I've been reading the Italian. Since it's a translation, it's fun to figure out what the words are.

A piece of art.
Stunning.
And what a beautiful color.
Enjoy it and thanks for sharing it with us.
Best wishes,

i love the scalloped edges too - so graceful and swoopy. just a beautiful shawl, and yay for kidsilk haze! i haven't knit with it yet, but i've heard from many that it's a challenging yarn to knit with.
happy weekend to you, francesca! ;)

I have some KSH in the stash. I was a little scared away from the horrors I heard about knitting with it...Your shawl makes me want to go stash diving!

When Wendy Johnson knit this shawl in a lovely shade of yellow that can best be described as "catpuke" (which shouldn't sound as offensive as it probably does; I love cats and their puke ain't no thang), I wanted to knit it pretty bad. But now, seeing this shawl in such a lovely murky blue—so wearable and matchy-with-jeans: I'm desperate for it.
Go you, this looks awesome. Hope it cools down soon so you can show it off in public! :)

Gorgeous! Congratulations! That sure seemed like a fast knit. And I didn't see even one gray hair, it must be your imagination.

gorgeous! wing-of-the moth is one of my favorite of anne's patterns, and in that blue it is very pretty. it almost makes me want to knit another!

That is just gorgeous! What a fabulous job! And I know what you mean about the KSH. It's great when it's finished, but is a bit of a pain to knit.

That was fast! And, it is stunning! Just gorgeous! Bravo!

Almost makes me want to try a shawl. Right now they pretty much scare me, because I make enough mistakes knitting lacy dishcloths! LOL! Kidsilk Haze in blue is almost too much to take! Blue is my favorite color! Beautiful shawl.
